Out of State Inquiries

This New Adoption Movement has six levels.  Where do you fit in?

  1. The People (parents, and supporters)
  2. Churches (OCML—ministry, resources, support groups, county partnerships)
  3. Alliance of Churches (several churches in a single geography working together strategically)
  4. Resource Developers – (systems, tools, databases, training materials, curriculums, commercials, stories storehouse, etc.)
  5. National Voices(the loud voice, media, and gathering of resources)
  6. God—without a doubt we believe that God is orchestrating it all.

Project 1.27 fits into #3 and #4.  We work to unify the collective efforts of a lot of churches to serve a net population area of around 4 million people and their corresponding number of “waiting” children in foster care (around 1000).  The success of this model is based on a number of factors.

  1. God’s providence—first and foremost
  2. The Wind—where the Holy Spirit is moving
  3. Churches—are the local churches willing to work together?  Are they motivated by the needs of the orphan
  4. Pastors—are there pastors passionate about the issue, and are they willing to call their people from the pulpit
  5. People—are Gods’ people in that area moved toward the orphan.

A Project 1.27 in your State? If you are interested in organizing an alliance of churches to recruit, train, and support Christians in Churches to adopt the waiting children in your local foster care system, then I want to encourage you to begin to prepare by doing the following.  As you progress through these steps, get in touch with us and we will help you along.  God willing, the resources will be available for everyone in this movement to walk together and find homes for our foster kids around the country. Assignments:

  • Pray
  • Write out a Strategic Plan (preparation, learning, consulting, recruiting, resourcing, walking)
  • Build Preparation Budget based off your plan
  • Present Initial Strategic Plan Preparation Budget to local pastors, businesses, individuals
