Community Classes

Project 1.27 encourages families to explore and participate in the wealth of foster and adoptive parent education offered around the state. In addition, all official Project 1.27 families must attend a least one 2 hour community class for their initial qualification. It helps adoptive families learn of community resources they may need for the child or youth they adopt. Additionally, it provides an opportunity to talk about our partnerships outside Project 1.27 with other training programs. Many schools, hospitals, churches, and mental health centers offer classes that will increase your skills as an adoptive parent. Additionally, here are some training web sites to consider:
