Orientation & Training
~A Project 1.27 Parent
Project 1.27 strives to provide exceptional training from a Christian perspective to potential foster and adoptive parents, support teams and church partners.
Orientation is open to the public while Parent Training is offered only to enrolled Project 1.27 families and their support teams.
Orientation is for potential foster and adoptive parents, their support team members and anyone interested in learning more about the Colorado foster care system and Project 1.27. Orientation also fulfills the first two hours of required state training. Potential foster and adoptive parents must attend Orientation before applying to become a Project 1.27 family. Visit Orientation for additional details.
Following Orientation, parents who wish to move forward with Project 1.27 are required to complete the Commitment Forms provided at Orientation and pay a $100 administrative fee. This is the only fee paid to Project 1.27 and allows access to forms, training and case manager support.
Project 1.27 provides 28 hours of state-required training including Foster Adoption Core Training (FACT), Project 1.27 Core Training (PCore), and Support Team Training (STT). All training is biblically based and developed to prepare parents for a successful placement and parenting experience. Visit Parent Training for additional details.
