Outside Resources
Project 1.27 encourages families to explore and participate in the wealth of foster and adoptive parent education offered around the state.
All enrolled Project 1.27 families must attend at least one 2-hour community class for their intial qualification. It helps inform families of community resources they may need for the child or youth they are parenting.
In addition, it provides an opportunity to talk about our partnerships outside Project 1.27 with other training programs. Many schools, hospitals, churches, and mental health centers offer classes that will increase your skills as an adoptive and foster parent. Here are some training web sites to consider:
