God loves children. For 80 years, thousands of children have been languishing in the U.S. foster care system. Over 123,000 children and youth are legally free for adoption in the U.S. and waiting for their forever homes. Each year the numbers of waiting children keep growing.
In 2005 there were 875 legally free children and youth in Colorado. Then something amazing started happening. The Christian church started becoming aware of the orphan issues in our state and began engaging its members to be a part of the solution. Now, great families from all over the state are coming forward to adopt these children in growing numbers. In fact, through the hard work of many people, Colorado now has only 365 children and youth waiting to be adopted!
Imagine a day when there are no more children in Colorado waiting to be adopted but instead parents waiting to adopt children. We believe that day is coming by 2014.
Won’t you help us make history!
